To improve lives by expanding access to education, delivering high-impact healthcare, and strengthening communities — with a focus on those who need it most, and with the discipline to ensure every pound of support produces lasting, measurable change.
The Thread Running Through Everything We Do: Access
Throughout Kumar’s four decades in business — most recently in clinical research, where participation in trials has historically been limited by geography, infrastructure and awareness — the driving force has always been the same: widening access.
Philanthropy should operate on exactly the same principle. If talent, health or education is limited by circumstance rather than ability, something has gone wrong. The role of those fortunate enough to build successful enterprises is not merely to give back, but to give strategically — in ways that dismantle barriers permanently.
At first glance, our projects — eye care in South India, airway surgery in Punjab, music scholarships in London and Birmingham, history education for UK schools — may appear disparate. They are not. They are all, at root, about access.

That means funding bursaries and scholarships, supporting gifted students, and partnering with organisations that share our conviction: where you start should not determine where you finish.
